Personal data processed by us

VNAB processes your personal data collected as part of the services we provide to you and/or as supplied by you. Listed below are the personal data processed by us:
• First and last name
• Sex
• Address
• Telephone number
• E-mail address
• Information about your activities on our website
• Information about your surfing habits across different websites

Special and/or sensitive personal data

We don’t process special and/or sensitive personal data. We have no intention of collecting data on visitors of our website under the age of 16 either, unless they have permission of their parents or guardian. However, we have no way of verifying whether a visitor is older than 16 years. We therefore advise parents to monitor the online activities of their children to prevent the collection of data on children without parental consent. If you are convinced we collected personal data on a minor without consent, please contact us at info@vnab.nl. We will then delete this information. 

Purpose and basis of personal data processing

VNAB processes your personal data for the following purposes:
• to send our newsletter and/or announce VNAB activities
• to be able to call or e-mail you if required to provide our services
• to inform you of changes in our services and products

Automated decision-making

VNAB doesn’t take EDP-based decisions on issues that can have a(n) (considerable) impact on people. These are decisions taken by computer programs or systems without any human intervention (for instance, by a VNAB employee).

Data retention

VNAB doesn’t retain your personal data any longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data are collected.

Personal data shared with third parties

VNAB doesn’t sell your data to third parties and will not supply them either, unless this is necessary to perform our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. With companies contracted by us to process your data, we conclude a data processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. VNAB remains responsible for the processing of these data. If you attend VNAB events or meetings, VNAB may supply your name and, where required, the name of your employer to the organiser or sponsor of the event or meeting. If so, you’ll be informed accordingly in advance when signing up for such an event or meeting.

Cookies or similar techniques

VNAB uses functional, analytical and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser on your computer, tablet or smartphone upon the first visit to this website. VNAB uses cookies with a 100% technical functionality. They make sure the website functions properly and things like your preference settings are stored. These cookies are also used to optimise the website. In addition, we place cookies that track your surfing habits, allowing us to offer personalised content and ads. At your first visit to our website, we informed you of the use of these cookies and asked permission to place them. You can disable cookies by adjusting your internet browser settings so that it won’t store cookies any longer. You can also delete all previously stored information via the settings of your browser. Our website has buttons to share information on social media (like LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook). These social network sites also place cookies for functional, analytical and commercial purposes. Access to, alteration or removal of data

You have the right to access, rectify or remove your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by VNAB, and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can request us to send the personal data we hold on you in a computer file to you or another organisation of your choice.
You can send a request to access, correct, remove or transfer your personal data or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to info@vnab.nl.

To make sure the request or objection is made by you personally, we ask you to send a copy of your ID along with it. Please black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone; the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number [Burgerservicenummer (BSN)] on the copy. This for the protection of your privacy. We will respond to your request or objection as soon as possible, but within four weeks at the most.

VNAB would also like to point out that you have the possibility to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority. You can do so via this link.

VNAB takes the protection of your data seriously and implements appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised alteration.
